If you are in the area for a couple of days we strongly recommend the purchase of Explorer Passes which both Historic Scotland and the National Trust for Scotland offer. Dunnottar Castle closes from Thursday from 18th October 2010 It is not complusory for you to visit (and therefore pay the entry fees), you can enjoy the comfort of the tour bus while waiting for the other passengers to enjoy the venue.
